I have reached kilometer 0. There is no more trail unless I hike back to Santiago. I won’t. I’m done hiking. My pants are ripped, my shoes are shot, my feet hurt. I do have an awesome tan, though. I can also hike 20 miles easily every day.

Came across the running of the sheep in a small town.

I’ve been seeing these big black slugs most days. They actually are 6-8 inches long and make quite a mess when stepped on. They come in different colors.

I’m in Muxia and, again, a rainbow welcomed me. I suppose it’s good to be followed by rainbows.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m taking a bus back to Santiago and will rest and eat for a few days before returning home Saturday morning.

I have a two-hour bus ride tomorrow, so I might finally do that blog about hostel life then.

I’ll be home Sunday if anyone wants to go on a 20-mile stroll with me.
